At the request of the Centre Marc Bloch in Berlin and six academic institutions in France and Germany, Atelier Limo created a series of three documentary films illustrating the genesis of “Seizing Europe”, the most important Franco-German cooperation ever undertaken in the field of social sciences.
The three films reflect the project’s three core components (urban violence, welfare state and sustainable development), offering a glimpse into the methods employed and the questions explored by the young historians, sociologists, geographers and philosophers involved in the project.

The crises we are currently observing in Europe must have an effect on the way in which we do research.”
